Driven by a passion for craft, the environment and the aesthetics of everyday life, Tricotage’s mission is to create design for the modern woman.
Reflection and cohesion are key elements behind Tricotage’s work. With love and respect for the materials and prints, the two designers Karin Bjørneboe and Ida Anesdatter Schmidt founded Tricotage in Copenhagen in the spring of 2010. Their vision is to create a meaningful and useful collection with a constant focus on sustainability.
Staying in line with Danish design tradition, Tricotage works with developing unique and hand-made prints providing a modern, yet timeless expression in the fusion of ecological and sustainable materials for the woman who wants to create her own style.
Tricotage is defined by the combination of all-around design and the choice of high quality. With a sense of spatiality, shape and details the collection shows an ecological cotton line of printed dresses and shirts alongside a line of knits with focus on technique and craft.
The organic garments are produced by a GOTS certified supplier in Lithuania. The knit is also produced in Lithuania and made from 100 % virgin wool from New Zealand, characterized by its sustainable ability to stay nice even during longer use.
